Messages & Thanks

07/04/2005 -

Thank you Ian for putting up with Raffi and his barking. He is a lovely dog most of the time but does have a problem with this nervous barking. I am really working on that though with the help of Louise.

09/04/2005 -

I first started agility as a way to socialise my extremely nervous rescue Belgian Shepherd, and to build her up physically.

Ian has been so patient with Shannan, who was 3 years old when I first had her and who was terrified of everything and every one, and it took several weeks just to get her to relax and look at each piece of equipment!

She will never be a champion, but in 18 months we have gone on to compete, and she absolutely loves it! We have several clear round rosettes for Agility and jumping, and she even won a 15th place at Dogs in Need in 2004 for Starters Agility - not bad out of 250 dogs!!

Ian has helped us both with our confidence and I think he knows now that there is definitely something different about handlers of "Belgians" - Hi Mandy!!

It is a great club to belong to, and Shan and me both want to thank Ian for all his time and his patience!!

I've only recently joined Ian's training sessions, but having been doing agility with my border collie Tessa since Sept. 2001. She is my first agility dog and we've learnt everything together; good & bad!
I'm still learning & love all the challenges that Ian throws at us. His enthusiasm for the sport & perceptive help can't fail to give you the confidence needed when you're out competing. I must say a very big thank you for all the help with Tessa's contact work. It's paying off and my recent 5th in Novice agility @ Dashin Dogs made me very proud.
